Company History of Reliable Biopharmaceutical Corporation

Company History & Mission Statement

In 1968, William G. Ash identified an unmet need in the chemical industry, and founded a company that serviced customers by manufacturing and purifying chemicals and reagents for diagnostic kits in an efficient and cost effective manner.  This response to customer’s needs blossomed into Reliable Reagents.  As the company grew, so too did the base of products and customer demands, and in 1969, Reliable Reagents evolved into Reliable Chemical Company.  During the next two decades, Reliable developed expertise in enzyme and protein isolation and purification that led to the next stage of company evolution.

Keeping with the core philosophy of customer driven products, Reliable’s expertise expanded from chemical manufacturing and purification to include the development of downstream pharmaceutical processing aids, cosmeceuticals, diagnostic components, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).  Tissue extractions for nucleic acids served as the platform for our leap into API manufacturing and, in 1991, the company became Reliable Biopharmaceutical Corporation.  Building on competencies built from grants awarded by the NIH for our work on oncological products, Reliable Biopharmaceutical continues to grow exponentially with innovation driven by our “Reliable” response to our customers growing and evolving needs.
